How Gen7 Is Making Life Easier for You in The Face of Rising Fuel Prices

Everyone in Canada has felt the impact of rising fuel prices over the last several months. On average, Canadians were spending roughly $231 per month on fuel, but that number has surged by nearly 40% following the outbreak of the war in the Middle East. As fuel prices climbed, the average monthly cost of owning a vehicle increased from $1,373 to $1,439. Combined with the inflation Canadians experience throughout March, it’s clear that the cost of everyday life continues to rise.

And that’s where Gen7 steps in.

If you’re not familiar with Gen7, it’s Canada’s only 100% Indigenous-owned chain of gas stations and convenience stores, built around a simple mission: making life easier for you. Gen7 consistently works to offer some of the lowest fuel prices in the area, often helping drive down surrounding gas prices as larger competitors work to remain competitive. But their commitment goes far beyond affordable fuel.

Gen7 has quickly become known for their Customer Appreciation Days. After hosting the first event in the spring of 2025, these celebrations are becoming a signature part of summer at Gen7 stations. As part of their mission to support customers during challenges economic times, Gen7 dramatically lowers the price of regular fuel for a limited period during these events.

But the savings don’t stop when the fuel prices go back up. Understanding that not every customer can make it during the price drop, Gen7 also offers triple Cash Rewards afterwards, allowing customers to save on future purchases, whether it’s fuel, snacks, or the sovereign products they carry.

So far, Gen7 has hosted two Celebration Days in 2026. The first took place at Gen7 Walpole on April 27th, featuring giveaways along with a local community member selling tacos and Scone dogs to raise money for a high school drama club’s trip to Toronto. The second event was held at Charlie’s Gen7 in Enderby on May 6th and doubled as a second grand opening. Along with the price drop, customers received Charlie’s branded giveaways, samples from the Gen7 Bistro, and free bannock hot dogs!

While Gen7 continues to find new ways to make life easier for their customers, the company represents far more than fuel and convenience. At the heart of every decision, every station, and every initiative is a commitment to community. Gen7 isn’t just in the fuel business, they’re in the community building business. Through programs like their Community Giveback Initiative, a portion of every sale is reinvested directly back into the communities where Gen7 operates, helping support local growth and long-term impact.
