Charlie’s Gen7 Celebrates Grand Opening with Community Appreciation Event and $1/L Price Drop

ENDERBY, BC – Charlie’s Gen7, an 100% Indigenous-owned gas station and convenience store located on Splatsin territory, celebrated their Grand Opening with a community appreciation even on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

After first opening their doors in mid-March with a traditional smudge ceremony and keynote speakers, Charlie’s Gen7 hosted a second, larger celebration designed to thank the community and their growing base of loyalty customers.

Beginning at 11:00am, customers were welcomed with free Charlie’s branded merch, including exclusive T-shirts and keychains. The event brought together community members, families, and local businesses all with the intention of thanking everyone for their support so far.

Attendees enjoyed freshly made Bannock prepared by members of the Charlie-Joseph family, alongside free hot dogs served by the Gen7 operations team. Guests also had the opportunity to support the local business, Jeanette’s Bussin’ Bistro, a food truck offering a wide menu, so there was something for everyone!

The highlight of the event was the highly anticipated fuel price drop. Beginning at 12:00pm, the price of regular gas was gradually dropped through the course of the hour, eventually reaching $1 per litre. This initiative reflects Gen7’s commitment to supporting their customers and making life easier for you amid the rising fuel costs.

“We wanted to create an event that not only celebrates our opening but gives back to the community who have supported us from day one.” Said the Charlie’s Gen7 team.

To ensure all visitors benefited from the celebration, Charlie’s Gen7 also distributed coupons, offering 1¢ off per litre on any fuel grade, providing ongoing savings for customers who couldn’t make it to station for the price drop.
